And one company that has truly outdone themselves is Yamaha Motors when they unveiled their latest innovation when it comes to transportation needs, the new PAS-series of electric bikes. This new product came in just in time when the prices of petroleum and crude products are at their historical high giving more problems to everyone all over the world. With this new transport mode, the problem with high gasoline prices will be minimized. Because instead of using their gas-guzzling cars, people can just opt to go on electric two-wheels to be able to go places, maybe to work or to school.

Though a bit hefty with its price, this new electric bike by the Japanese electronic corporation promises more efficiency and savings in the long run because of the bikes assistance system that adopts to the gear position and the driver’s running speed. With the state-of-the-art technology called S.P.E.C. 8 mechanism, pedaling will be a lot easier for the rider because the system automatically recognizes when a driver shifts gears or changes the speed and adjusts the level of electric assistance accordingly.

The PAS-series electric bike is powered by a 4.0AH lithium-ion battery with a rated voltage of 25.9V and comes in three modes: automatic, “power” and “auto-eco plus”. With just one charge, the assisted travel range can reach up to 39 kilometers when riding in automatic mode (power mode: 23km, auto-eco plus mode: 61km). The bike can reach speed of up to 24km/h before the electronic assistance system shuts off.

The bike comes in a diamond-type frame that measures at 1,760×530×820-1,000mm and weighs 22.2kg. This frame type provides rigidity for high-performance driving, helped with a very structurally-sound suspension system.

The PAS-series Electric Bike by Yamaha is priced at $1,105.
